Meet the team

David Farrent Building Manager

David Farrent came to work in Mercury Court during the year following its opening as an office complex in 1986 (see below for short history of building). Worked initially for building’s landlord (government regeneration agency English Estates which in time became English Partnerships which in time became the Northwest Regional Development Agency) in a financial/administrative/IT capacity. In early years while Mercury Court was establishing itself David worked primarily for the then Mercury Court management team but latterly became involved in other areas of work on behalf of the landlord. David was appointed Building Manager of Mercury Court in 1995 and transferred employment from the NWDA to Warner Estate Holdings on the change of building ownership in December 2006.

Kevin Hamilton Facilities Manager

In 1985 Kevin Hamilton joined the site security team which was present during the demolition of the old Exchange Station and the initial construction of Mercury Court. On the completion of the construction phase of Mercury Court, Kevin remained as a member of the security team which manned the building as tenants arrived. Kevin eventually became head of security at Mercury Court in 1992. On the retirement of the building’s original resident caretaker in 2001 Kevin was appointed to fill this post.
